Writing and Life

I will post about my experience at the Antioch Writers’ Workshop, once I find some quiet time to actually do so. There was a lot packed into just the day and a half I was there. I even met a U.S. senator, which was icing on the cake. (I mean, I like this senator, so I was thrilled to meet him. Other members of Congress… maybe not so much.)

I have to confess that I’m afraid I’ll lose the momentum to write. I write for my day job, and sometimes the last thing I want to do when I get home is write some more. My garden always needs tending. Dinner needs to be cooked. The house needs to be cleaned. It’s always something.

I know… excuses, excuses. We actually talked about this very thing at the workshop. There are a million reasons not to write. Always.
